RNS Healthcare Services Inc. is excited to invite a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic Rehabilitation team. We offer flexibility with employment options, including salaried positions or independent contractor arrangements, available on a part-time, full-time or casual basis to suit your preferences.
In this role, you will be instrumental in assessing and treating swallowing disorders, ensuring clients can eat and drink safely. Your expertise will guide swallowing evaluations, diet modifications (e.g., thickened liquids, pureed foods), safe swallowing techniques, and targeted exercises to strengthen swallowing muscles.

A Day-to-Day Look at the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ speech and language abilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve speech and language skills
- Work with clients to improve their articulation, fluency, voice, and language abilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, educators, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate clients and their families on speech-related issues and home-based exercises
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records
- Stay updated on the latest research and advances in speech therapy to enhance treatment approaches
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges
- Understanding of food textures and modified diets for dysphagia management
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of auto insurance
