An Important Message from our President & CEO Angela Westheuser
I wanted to take a moment and connect with you directly as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our communities, employees, clients and stakeholders. The health and safety of our employees and our clients is at the heart of RNS and as we continue to learn more, we remain committed to ensuring that the health and safety of each of you is maintained.
Our COVID-19 Readiness & Action Group has been actively meeting to share information from Public Health, the Canadian and Ontario Governments and our partners in the delivery of health care to ensure that our standards and resources are following best practice guidelines. We remain ready, able and prepared to serve our clients during this time.
In addition to our usual screening and protection measures, RNS has introduced additional Respiratory Infection Screeners that will be utilized for both employees and clients prior to visits to ensure everyone’s continued safety. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, shortness of breath and dry cough, please notify your LHIN as well as your health care provider.
We also ask that any visitors to our head office self screen. Ideally, we would ask that you delay your visit.
Please remember that the most effective way to prevent the spread of disease and to protect your health is to:
- wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- sneeze and cough into your sleeve
- avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- stay at home when you are sick
Please visit Public Health Ontario for the most up to date information regarding COVID-19 and the protocols in place to protect ourselves.
On behalf of all of us at RNS please know that we are committed to ensuring that we deliver high quality, safe services to all clients and are committing to practices and protocols that protect our employees.
Thank you so much for your dedication and together, we will take it one day at a time.
