Physical Theraphy Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, autonomous Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our busy growing Rehab team! We are seeking a PTA who will be responsible to assist our Registered Physiotherapists in designated routine aspects of client care / treatment with the clients’ homes and retirement facilities. As a PTA you will administer physical therapy treatments to patients, working under the direction of a Physiotherapist. We are looking for assistance part-time in Alliston and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Administer physical therapy treatments to patients, working under direction of a registered
physiotherapist
• Assist clients with practicing activities of daily living as part of a daily routine
• Assist with individual and group client treatment programs
Qualifications:
• Diploma from an accredited community college: Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) Program
• 1 year (minimum) experience in a clinical or homecare setting
• Available to work a flexible work schedule (days, evenings and weekends as required)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build collaborative and therapeutic interpersonal relationships are required – as are proven skills in successful teamwork, communication and conflict resolution
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and availability of a motor vehicle are required with Proof of Auto Insurance
