Occupational Therapists

The Registered Occupational Therapists (OTs) at RNS Health Care Services Inc. are regulated health professionals who bring a unique ability to address the complex interaction of physical, emotional, cognitive and environmental issues which impact the ability of our clients to enjoy life and remain productive and active members of their community.
They work collaboratively with the home healthcare, School, and worksite teams to provide services to children and adults with an approach which addresses the critical life skills required for independent living.

Physiotherapists

The Registered Physiotherapists (PTs) at RNS Health Care Services Inc. are regulated health professionals who are recognized experts in physical rehabilitation . They use a comprehensive approach to evaluate physical needs and abilities of each individual and family in order to promote optimum enjoyment of life through comfortable mobility, and maximum function.
Our PTs work collaboratively with the home healthcare, school and worksite teams to provide services to children and adults including walking, balance and coordination training; prescription of devices, falls prevention, exercise, body mechanics, pain management, respiratory care, and teaching of strategies for safe home and work practices to reduce injuries.

Social Workers

The Registered Social Workers (SWs) at RNS Health Care Services Inc. have their Master’s Degree in Social work and their goal is to restore, maintain and enhance our clients and families’ ability to make decisions, access community resources, alleviate stress and manage or modify difficult family situations.
Our SWs work collaboratively with the home healthcare, school and family to provide services to individuals of all ages. They assist people to cope with changing roles and relationships; to understand the impact of illness or disability; and they support individuals, caregivers and the home healthcare team to make linkages with community resources. They may assist with determining care needs and promote the individual and families ability to make decisions and emotionally prepare for life changes. SW’s may support families to identify and access financial or community assistance for situations of family conflict, social isolation, parenting or mental health issues; and inform the home healthcare team about opportunities to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect.

Speech Language Pathologists

The Registered Speech-Language Pathologists (S-LPs) at RNS Health Care Services Inc. are regulated health professionals who have specific knowledge and skills in communication, feeding and swallowing. They assist individuals of all ages to restore their ability to speak fluently, eat and drink safely, and fully communicate with the people in their life. Our SLPs work collaboratively with the home healthcare, school and worksite teams to provide services to children and adults enabling comfortable swallowing, audible speech and language, interaction with family and friends; improved job or school performance, and alternative communication when regular communication strategies are not an option. Our S-LP services assist our clients to eat and drink comfortably; communicate their needs , initiate conversations and follow directions-in their home, school and while actively living in their community.
